UK Property Forums30 September 2025

Habito Co-Living, a brand of student accommodation operator Host, has opened Guildford Plaza, its first UK development, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the Mayor of Guildford, Cllr Howard Smith, and other stakeholders.

The town centre scheme, a joint venture with Partners Group, provides 301 apartments across four buildings, including 67 rooms at a discounted market rent. Residents have access to a gym, exercise studios, co-working space, a coffee bar, meeting rooms, private and communal dining areas, a cinema, a video gaming room and on-site laundry, along with a programme of social events and workshops.

Managing director John Nesbitt said the opening marks the brand's move into co-living, drawing on Host's experience in student accommodation to create a flexible, community-focused place to live. He added that the scheme is already attracting interest from prospective residents at a wide range of life stages.
