Long-Term Investment Partner Sought for Culham Campus

A long-term investment partner is being sought to help reimagine Culham Campus near Oxford, as outlined by UK Property Forums consultant Hugh Blaza.
The campus is run by the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, the non-departmental public body that funds world-leading research into fusion energy. Scientists there have spent many years working towards generating unlimited clean energy from sustainable resources, and recent progress in their experimental work means a partner with investment expertise is now seen as key to capitalising on emerging opportunities.
The site covers around 190 acres and offers considerable scope to repurpose existing buildings and build new ones.
The chosen partner would be expected to prepare a commercial masterplan and delivery strategy, secure funding to deliver UKAEA's objectives, raise Culham's profile to reflect the success of its work, and attract commercial occupiers keen to be involved with the technology UKAEA has developed. The tender deadline for responses is 12 February.
