Prospect Estate Agent Acquired by National Network

National estate agency network Lomond has acquired Prospect, marking its first move into the Thames Valley.
Prospect was founded more than 35 years ago in Bracknell by Colin Wells and James May. Now headquartered on King Street in Reading, it runs 10 branches across Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire. Lomond says the business sits naturally alongside its 12 other premium brands.
Rob Mott, chief revenue officer at Lomond, said Prospect’s brand heritage, loyal customers and people match Lomond’s values, and that the deal strengthens the group’s presence around London and the South East.
Colin Wells, Prospect’s founder and chief executive, said the firm’s founding principles of integrity, excellence and putting people first still guide it, and that shared values were the deciding factor in choosing a partner. He is confident the move will help Prospect thrive while keeping what makes it distinctive.
Lomond group chief executive Ed Phillips said the group had been searching for the right business in the region for some time because of its strategic importance. He described Prospect as a standout fit with deep local roots and a strong reputation, and said it will act as a new hub establishing Lomond in one of the UK’s most dynamic markets.
