Shortlist announced for EastPropAwards 2025

The shortlist has been announced for the 2025 EastPropAwards, now in their fourth year, with winners to be revealed at a black-tie dinner at Homerton College, Cambridge, on 25 June.
Matthew Battle, managing director of UK Property Forums and joint chair of the judges, said the 38 submissions were of a high standard and came from across the region, including St Albans, Norwich, Hertford, Royston, Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge. He described the panel's debate as robust and called this year one of the best.
Shortlisted entries across the 12 categories include:
• Deal of the Year: 20-22 Sidney Street, Cambridge (Cheffins); Panshanger (DeHavilland Park), Hertford (Savills); and the Optic to Arm letting at Peterhouse Tech Park, Cambridge (Bidwells) • Architect of the Year: Saunders Boston Architects and Twenty Nine Architecture • Responsible Employer: Mills & Reeve, Saunders Boston Architects, Tees Law and TSA Riley • Housing Development: Flint Hall Barns, Royston; High Street, Cherry Hinton; and Shelford Road, Cambridge • Commercial Project: 10 Station Road, Cambridge, and Suffolk Business Park (Plot 400) • Educational Project: Cambridge Science Centre; the Construction Centre at Oaklands College, St Albans; Northstowe Learning Community; and The Perse School Sports Centre • Low Carbon Project: 10 Station Road, High Street Cherry Hinton and Northstowe Learning Community • Future Project: 11 Queen Edith's Way and the East Barnwell project in Cambridge, and Norwich Research Park (GB1) • Project of the Year: 10 Station Road, Oaklands College Construction Centre, Northstowe Learning Community and The Perse School Sports Centre • Apprentice of the Year: nominees from Ermine Construction, Savills, TSA Riley and RG Carter • NextGen of the Year: nominees from Mills & Reeve, Carter Jonas, KMC Transport Planning, TSA Riley and Bidwells
Nominees for Leader of the Year will be kept secret until the night. Nicholas Bewes of Howard Group co-chaired the judging panel. More than 140 of just over 200 tickets had been sold at the time of the announcement.
