deverellsmith Launches UK Real Estate Workforce Survey to Shape 2026 Salary Guide and Trends Report

Property recruitment specialist deverellsmith has opened its annual UK real estate workforce survey, which will provide the data for its 2026 salary guide and trends report.
The survey is open to professionals from every part of the sector, including estate agency and residential sales, development, construction, investment, asset management and corporate roles. It asks about pay, career progression, workplace culture and what influences decisions to change jobs.
The firm's salary guide is widely used by employers to benchmark pay and by candidates weighing up opportunities. This year's edition will go further, combining salary figures with measures of workforce sentiment. Topics covered include:
• Salary and bonus structures at each level of seniority • Benefits and how much they matter • Opportunities for, and obstacles to, progression • Flexible and hybrid working preferences • Reasons people move jobs or stay put • Views on market conditions and job security
Georgia Zambakides, executive director at deverellsmith, said the survey lets the firm capture trends at scale that would otherwise be anecdotal, and that the results shape the advice it gives clients on attracting, keeping and rewarding staff.
The results will appear in the 2026 UK Real Estate Salary Guide and Trends Report later in the year, with benchmarks for entry-level, manager, director and senior leadership roles, and will also feed into the firm's devcast podcast. The survey takes about five minutes and responses are anonymous.
