Expectations Exceeded at Auction Again

Greenslade Taylor Hunt held its May Land and Collective Property auction at Aldwick Estate, Redhill, Blagdon, near Bristol, offering nine lots after a couple of commercial lots had already sold ahead of the day.
The standout result was Home Farm at Henlade, near Taunton, a two-bedroom cottage in need of full modernisation, set in around three quarters of an acre with a range of adaptable outbuildings. Strong bidding both in the room and online pushed the price to £327,000 against a guide of £250,000.
Auctioneer Robert Baker said it was pleasing to see several lots perform well, with Home Farm comfortably beating expectations.
Other results included:
• 1.75 acres of land at Mark Causeway, Mark, sold for £73,000 • 2.81 acres of land with stables and an arena sold for £132,000 • 1.04 acres at Dolemead Lane, Draycott, sold for £28,000
The firm's next property auction was scheduled for Wednesday 17 June at Sedgemoor Auction Centre, starting at 2pm.
