The National Landlord Investment Show Comes to Birmingham

The National Landlord Investment Show was due to return to Birmingham on Wednesday 20 May 2026, taking place at Aston Villa's Villa Park from 9am to 3.30pm. The free exhibition brings together landlords, developers, investors, lenders, legal specialists and other property professionals from across the UK.
First launched in 2013, the show is one of the country's leading events for landlords and investors, and the Birmingham edition marked its tenth year in the Midlands. It typically attracts thousands of visitors interested in buy-to-let, investment, compliance, finance and portfolio growth.
The event comes at a time of considerable change for the private rented sector. Landlords are dealing with the Renters' Rights Act, energy efficiency requirements, stronger tenant protections and new digital tax reporting duties. Seminars were planned on tenancy structures, possession rules following the Section 21 reforms, rent increase regulations, compliance duties and enforcement penalties, alongside guidance on Making Tax Digital and quarterly reporting.
Highlighted sessions included:
• A panel on the biggest landlord challenges of 2026, hosted by property analyst Kate Faulkner OBE, covering EPC rules, rising costs and portfolio risk • Practical advice on Making Tax Digital for Income Tax from HMRC's Craig Ogilvie • A session on using technology and IoT to meet changing fire safety and housing standards • Strategies for building a profitable long-term residential portfolio
Exhibitors were drawn from property finance, legal services, insurance, property management, tax, PropTech, auctions and development and construction, giving visitors the chance to compare services face to face.
The show is aimed at everyone from first-time landlords and self-builders to portfolio landlords, land buyers and property professionals, with the platform acting as a media partner for the event.
