Prime Plots in Datchet, Windsor and Maidenhead Offered at Upcoming Auction

Terra Firma Auctions is bringing two vacant freehold plots on Whites Lane in Datchet, in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, to its online auction on Thursday 22 October 2026. The plots, named The Eton (Plot A) and The Windsor (Plot B), each measure roughly 0.21 acres and carry a guide price of £225,000 apiece.
Neither plot has planning permission, and no applications have previously been made or refused on the land, so any residential scheme would depend on securing planning and other statutory consents. Marketing material suggests each plot could accommodate one five-bedroom detached house, with an indicative gross development value of about £1.5 million for a single home or around £3 million for two. The auctioneer sees appeal for both developers and self-builders wanting a substantial detached house with private outdoor space.
Datchet is a riverside village with its railway station about half a mile away, and the M4 gives access across the Thames Valley and towards London, with Heathrow close by. Nearby schools include Eton End School and Churchmead School, and Windsor town centre is a short distance away.
The listing states that water, gas, electricity and mains sewage connections are already in place. Both plots have direct private access from Whites Lane and are sold with vacant possession and no overage.
The lots are offered on an unconditional basis, so a winning bidder is legally committed to complete. The seller may consider offers before the auction on the same terms, and prospective buyers are advised to study the legal pack and take independent legal, planning and professional advice before bidding.
