Top Ten Innovations to Look Out for at London Build 2025

London Build 20263 September 2025

London Build 2025 is billed as the UK’s largest construction event, with more than 450 exhibitors, 700 speakers and 35,000 attendees spread across 12 CPD conference stages, including dedicated stages for sustainability, AI and digital construction, and modern methods of construction. This guide picks out ten sessions focused on innovation, all taking place on 19 and 20 November 2025.

On 19 November, highlights include a Mace-led panel on retrofitting existing buildings to reach net zero (10:00), a session on how Mace and NDY are using AI to improve building design and energy efficiency (11:00), and a discussion on circular construction featuring Mikhail Riches, ASBP and Willmott Dixon (12:00). At 13:00, leaders from Balfour Beatty, Laing O’Rourke and Mace tackle embodied carbon, while a parallel session examines how robotics are changing offsite manufacturing and modular assembly. Later, architects and landscape designers discuss human-centred, nature-inspired design (16:00).

On 20 November, a panel argues the case for reusing existing buildings as one of the most effective ways to cut emissions (12:00). A keynote on the digital playbook for offsite construction covers BIM, digital twins and collaborative platforms (14:00). WilkinsonEyre and others explain how ESG is influencing approvals, investor confidence and community relations (15:00), and HOK and CBRE share practical advice on energy-efficient building design, including insulation, ventilation and smart technology (16:00).

The guide notes that the built environment accounts for almost 40 percent of global carbon emissions, and encourages visitors to plan their time around the sessions most relevant to their work.
